Adsense Strategies - To Help You Earn More with Adsense
- 2 Comment
Making money with adsense is not an easy task especially if you are new to the blogging world. Some people try and when they fail they think that making a good sum of money with adsense is not possible but it is possible. There are a lot of people out there making six-figure income with adsense and it is possible for you to make the same amount as well. Apart from a decent traffic there are many things that affect your adsense earnings and click through rates.
If you follow these steps, then i am sure you will see the difference in your earnings. These are all tested and they increased my earnings alot.
1. First and the most important thing you should take care of is the appearance of your ads. The more they blend with the site, the more chances that the visitor will click and so more you will earn. Lets take an example of a newspapers where there are blocks of ads and you dont even bother going through them, same is the case with adsense. Make them appear as if they are a part of your site and are not ads. And i can guarantee you that you will see a change in your click through rates. The thing you have to do now is change the appearance of you ads and make the background of ads the same as your website background. Change the Link color to what blends most with you website and if you cant figure out a color, Choose “Blue” color. Change the text color to the color of the content and your good to go. Make sure you set the border color to that of the background otherwise it will just stand out and will not blend with the content on your site
2. Now the next thing that matters is the placement of your ads. If they are placed in wrong positions where visitors dont even see, then dont think that you will earn. Place them on those positions which should be the first thing the user see when he opens your website and it should be blended well with the content as i told you earlier. Like, Above the fold, now whats that?? The place below your post title and the one above the content is considered as “Above the Fold”. Place an ad there because thats the place the visitor will see when he will open any of your post. Apart from that try other placements as well and see whether it working good or not. The place which i will not recommend is the footer of the page because many visitors dont scroll that down.
3. Now that you are done with the placement and appearance, just keep a track of your channels and see which ads are clicked the most and which arent and so work on them. You can make channels by logging in to you adsense account and then going to Adsense Setup and their you will see a Channels heading. Just click it and make different channels for different ads on a website. You can even manage different url channels as well but at the moment stick to one site and make channels for that and just monitor and test out different positions. You can skip them if you got alot of website then it will create confusion.
4. Now comes the thing which i like the most, The Competitive Ad Filter. It just filter outs the ads which you dont want to see on you websites or you can say getting rid of Irrelevant low paying ads. For example, you are running a site on technology and you see a diet or any other irrelevant ad on your website, just filter it out but dont filter alot because that might cause the high paying ads to filter out as well. Just filter those which are irrelevant.
Now if you follow there adsense strategies, i am sure you will be able to boost your adsense earnings. Apart from that, visit other blogs and see how the ads are placed there and if you think that there is something wrong with the ones placed on your site, change them. But just keep testing different placements and i am sure you will find the one which will give you the maximum revenue. Another thing that you need to keep in mind is that all ads dont pay equally and different niches have different ads, some high paying some low paying.
