Some of the most useful plugins that I use and I would suggest everyone out there to use are
1. Google Sitemap Generator.
Google Sitemap Generator will help get your blog indexed by Google much faster than it actually does itself.
2. Database Backup.
A very important and must have plugin is the Database Backup Plugin that backup your wordpress database.Just in case anything goes wrong you can always make it right because you have your backup with you. It’s really very simple and easy to use.
3. Akismet
You will find this plugin already installed in your wordpress but you need to make sure that it’s always on. Askismet comment spam killer will keep your blog away from the unwanted trash i.e Spam comments.
4. Related Posts
This plugin helped me increase my Page Impressions by 200% on my blogs. This plugiin allows you to set how many related posts you want to display and also gives you an option for displaying them.
5. Live
I use this plugin quiet often. It helps me keep a track on my traffic every minute, every second. You can always use Google Analytics for that as well but if you use this you’ll definitely find it helpful. It’s like you know what you had been doing and it gives you the result of that. E.g If you have submitted a post of Digg and you want to see how many people have actually been to your blog via that post then you can simple click the LIVE plugin link after installing it and it will do the rest. It helped me choose the best social bookmarking sites to advertise in the beginning where people do come from and appreciate your article.

6. All in One SEO Pack
This plugin is a must if you ask me because it do almost have of you SEO work. Just download this plugin, install it and activate it through plugin manager in you wp-admin. With this you can give a title and description of you posts and so improves the search engine ranking.
